Andrei Kowaluk: Sincerest condolences
Dear Barb, Kevin, Rachel, Maryann and Laura,
we are very saddened to hear of Neil’s passing and only found out tonight.
Your dad was always very kind to me and will be sorely missed.
Growing up with you all at the cottage, I certainly have many fond memories! Early on, I was always awe struck when Neil and Rachel would swim to the first island and back. Swimming was such a big part of his life. Neil was always fixing something or making things better for all of us up there, building rafts, fixing docks or keeping us all safe from poison ivy. I will also never forget when he help pull about 27 porcupine quills out of my dad’s dog, Pepper. What a difficult day that was.
After my dad passed, Neil would always make the effort to check in on me. I’ll always be very appreciative of that. Always friendly and happy, I will never forget his “Hey guy, how are you doing?” A more genuine person I don’t think there could be. Then there were all the times he would come to spectate the volleyball tournaments at the field. Lots of memories to say the least.
Neil you will be missed, may you rest in peace.
